The Ministry of Health has announced 40 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on March 20, taking the total to 385. Of these 40 cases, 30 are imported and 10 are local cases.
Additionally, seven more cases have been discharged from hospital with 131 overall patients to have fully recovered and been discharged.
Of the 30 imported cases, 22 are Singapore citizens or permanent residents while 7 have long-term passes and one case has a short-term visit pass.
As per the MOH, 18 of the imported cases had travelled to the United Kingdom, two cases travelled to other European countries, three to Indonesia, two to the United States, while the others had been to ASEAN nations and other parts of Asia.
Of the 10 local cases, seven are linked to previous cases and three are currently unlinked.
Of the 254 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Sixteen are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
