Tech2Cool, Bukalapak emerge winners at inaugural iPrice E-Commerce Merchant Awards

Singaporean SMEs Tech2Cool, Faire Belle, Falconpev alongside 23 e-commerce merchants in Southeast Asia emerged the big winners at the inaugural iPrice E-Commerce Merchant Awards (iEMA) 2016 at the eTail Asia Conference in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The awards were organised by iPrice Group in partnership with eTail Asia, Trusted Company and UseInsider.

Finalists and winners for the awards were chosen by consumers who voted on the iEMA 2016 microsite. Tech2Cool won both the Quality Award and Popularity Award for Singapore.

Tech2Cool was founded in 2011 and markets computer hardware accessories and peripherals through their website. To date, the Singaporean startup has expanded their portfolio to more than 45 brands and serve customers from 24 countries.

Other finalists for the Quality Award were Faire Belle, an e-commerce that markets a wide range of fashionable and high quality products and Falconpev, a specialist electric scooter and electric bicycle company. For the Popularity Award category, Lazada and Zalora both took finalist positions for Singapore.

Bukalapak, a C2C e-commerce platform was declared the overall winner, garnering the highest number of overall votes in Southeast Asia. In addition to this, a special award to honour notable achievements by an e-commerce platform was won by BloomThis, a Malaysian startup who provide a flower gifting service via their website and social media pages. “Based on studies by Google and Temasek, the Southeast Asian eCommerce market is expected to see exponential growth from US$6 billion to about US$90 billion in 2025,” said iPrice Group CEO David Chmelar.

iPrice is a meta-search platform based in South Asia that connects consumers with e-commerce merchants through three business lines: price comparison for electronics and health and beauty; product discovery for fashion and home and living; and coupons across all verticals.
