Shah Rukh Khan had a dream run in 2023, starring in multiple blockbusters. While his films raked in millions of dollars at the box-office, King Khan also received plaudits for his acting. The icing on the cake came at the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, where he received the best actor trophy for Jawan.
Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan released on 7 September 2023. After the end of its theatrical run, the movie had collected a whopping INR 1,148.32 crore at the box-office.
Receiving the award, the 58-year-old actor thanked the jury and said he loves getting recognised for his work.
It was also a big night for Khan, who presented his Jawan co-star Nayanthara with the best actress award for the same movie. His impromptu dance while presenting the award also made it to the headlines. Hailed for his charm, SRK helped Nayanthara climb up the stage and also planted a kiss after handing the trophy to her.
Currently, the Badshah of Bollywood is basking in the glory of his three hits- Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki.
