The main operator of the coffee shop has accumulated 14 demerit points over the last 12 months for failing to maintain sanitary fittings in good condition and repair. The operator also failed to provide hand soap in the toilet.

NEA had also imposed S$1,000 fine on the main operator.

“NEA takes a serious view of these offences and would like to remind food operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times… NEA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act,” NEA said in the suspension notice.
