SGIFF discovers new voices from Asia, says Anurag Kashyap

The winners of the Asian Feature Film Competition at the recently concluded Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) 2019 were decided by a jury panel, headed by award-winning Indian filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap.

Kashyap who is known to call a spade a spade was all praise for the longest running film festival in Asia which he has attended twice before. 

"They discover new voices from Asia. The kind of films that we get to see is so incredible," Kashyap told Connected to India, praising SGIFF. 

The award winning filmmaker was also all praise for Singapore saying, "The people here are just amazing. Singapore is a great city, it’s a city of the future. It's a great city, it’s a great place. And they supports art so much."
