Playing against international cricketers will raise our standards: Diviya GK

With the 5th International SCC T20 Tournament less than a month away, preparations at the Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) are in full swing.

Diviya GK, the captain of the Singapore women’s cricket team and a member of the SCC, was at the nets practising with her team mates and encouraging them. She can’t wait for the SCC T20 to start. “I know I’m going to learn a lot. The level of cricket and watching up close how they handle pressure; in terms of my cricket standards, I’ll learn a lot more,” Diviya said.

Connected to India caught up with Diviya GK, the captain of the Singapore women’s cricket team, at the Padang to talk about the team’s preparation, her expectations from the tournament, teams chances and growth of cricket in Singapore.
