American pop star Katy Perry has officially confirmed her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, sharing a series of affectionate photos and videos from their recent visit to Japan.

Perry posted several images on Instagram, including a close selfie of the two leaning in cheek-to-cheek and clips of them dining and spending time together.

The post, captioned “tokyo times on tour and more,” marked the first time the singer directly acknowledged the relationship online.

The reveal came shortly after Perry accompanied Trudeau during his meeting with former Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko.

Kishida later referred to Perry as Trudeau’s partner in a post on X, further confirming the couple’s status.

Perry and Trudeau were first spotted together in July, taking a walk with their dogs in Canada. Months later, they made their first formal appearance as a couple in Paris on October 25, when they stepped out together for Perry’s 41st birthday celebrations.

Reports suggest Trudeau had been interested in Perry since their time together in Montréal, and the two grew closer over subsequent meetings.

Their relationship has drawn significant attention due to their high-profile backgrounds—Perry’s global music career and Trudeau’s long political tenure.

Both have previously been in notable relationships, which adds to the public fascination surrounding their new partnership.

With Perry’s Instagram post making their romance official, the couple appears increasingly comfortable sharing glimpses of their life together while traveling and attending events.
