Indian Ambassador to France Jawed Ashraf told Doordarshan India in an interview that the summit was a great opportunity for India.

"There is an unprecedented level of interest and attention in India for a number of reasons. One of course is that this is the year of G20 presidency for India. Second is the pace of our economic growth; we've had an extremely good post-pandemic recovery...all of this has place India as perhaps the most attractive place to do business in," he said.

The summit will focus on themes including building a green future, emerging technologies, defence cooperation and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, an official release said. Accompanied by a delegation of Indian CEOs, the Minister is also scheduled to meet with French business leaders across various sectors and will attend a CEOs roundtable.

The business summit and CEO roundtable are being organised by the Embassy of India in Paris in partnership with Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Business France and Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI).

The visit is expected to impart further momentum to bilateral relations with India’s key business partners in the European region.
