“This is one of the most important and relevant films of our times,” Ayushmann Khurrana told Connected to India, discussing his upcoming film Article 15.
The movie, inspired by true events, is a hard-hitting crime thriller directed and co-written by Anubhav Sinha. It is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Ayushmann plays an IPS officer in the film.
“The film is the need of the hour,” the actor told Connected to India. The movie also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, and Manoj Pahwa.
