Five things to do in Singapore over the weekend of Jul 19-21

The hottest bhangra competition in Singapore happens this weekend – so join the party on Saturday at Gateway Theatre at 2pm! 

Later that night, dance your heart out at the after-party of RedDot Bhangra Competition, or let the dancers from VK Arts take you through the unique love story between the King and Queen of Lanka – the demon-king Ravana and his consort Mandodari.

1.  RedDot Bhangra Competition 2019

Following its inaugural success, the RedDot Bhangra Competition (RDBC) is back for its second edition in Singapore – and this time, it’s bigger and better. 

The six teams – three local and three international – are ready to set the dance floor on fire with some fantastic bhangra moves on Saturday. This year, audiences are in for a treat as there will be a slew of side activities at the event.

2. Thari – Bound by the soul

‘Thari – Bound By The Soul’ explores the concept of the ‘red thread of fate’ through the interesting, and hardly ever talked about, love story of the King and Queen of Lanka – the demon-king Ravana and his consort Mandodari.

3. Southeast Asian Arts Forum 2019: The School of Art

4. Great Indian Food Fest 2019

This 10-day event will showcase the rich history, culture and evolution of Little India. 16 food carts will be set up along Campbell Ln serving up long lost dishes. A guided heritage hawker food trail will also be happening from July 22-26.

5. Voice of Legends Live

Voice of Legends is a big musical concert  to honour 3 renowned singers and showcase their soulful melodies that have mesmerised fans all over the world.
