Experience Japan’s beloved cherry blossom season through the Sakura Afternoon Tea with inspired seasonal delights from March 7 to May 15, 2022.
A beautiful Sakura tree has been installed in the middle of the Grand Lobby. The seasonal Sakura Afternoon Tea invites guests to savour an exclusive selection of delectable savouries such as Beef Sando with Katsu Béchamel; Japanese Omelette with Ikura, a delightful combination of a classic Japanese folded omelette topped with plump salmon roe; and the Surimi Sandwich Mayo and Tobiko Egg.
Inspired by the cherry blossoms coming into full bloom, Executive Pastry Chef Tai Chien Lin offers a lavish spread of classic Japanese desserts, home-baked scones and unique creations. The Tea features a delicate Sakura Strawberry Verrine, tantalising Red Bean Sakura Ice Cream Monaka and velvety Sakura Roll Cake, reminiscent of the colours and the allure of the celebrated seasonal festivity, paired perfectly with a choice of Mariage Frères tea or a Raffles custom-blended coffee.
The Sakura Afternoon Tea experience is offered alongside the signature Classic Afternoon Tea as part of The Grand Lobby’s afternoon tea offering, where guests can taste unique culinary flavours from cities around the world.
