Real life braveheart Kangana Ranaut was literally, clapping her hands and jumping with joy when K. V. Vijayendra Prasad of Bahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijan fame narrated the script of Manikarnika to her. "Kangana was jumping like a small kid in excitement." said the master storyteller.
Kangana has overcome many odds like getting 20 stitches, for an injury inflicted by the careless swing of a sword by a co-actor (Nihal Pandey), on day one of the shoot, actors, and directors falling on the wayside as the film progressed and so on to finally arrive at the day when she proudly launched the trailer of the film, which also marks her directorial debut.
Connected to India met the versatile and gutsy actress who looked visibly contended and happy with the results of hard labour in putting together the story of Rani Laxmibai, the queen of Jhansi, Manikarnika. The biopic hits the big screen across the world on January 25, 2019.
