COVID-19 news round-up: Singapore firm develops 10-min rapid test kit, US death toll crosses 3,000 and other updates

Singapore-based Biolidics has developed a COVID-19 test kit that can detect the virus with over 95% accuracy in just 10 minutes; and Germany is looking to launch a Singapore-style app for contact tracing efforts. 

Meanwhile, US death toll passes 3,000 – including at least 540 on Monday, the deadliest day yet in the country’s mounting crisis.
