For me Sports is mainstream: Boria Majumdar

Noted sports journalist, author, academician, and commentator Boria Majumdar finds himself on a strong wicket as he launches his innovative sports venture with backing from multiple corporates. Staying on his path as a content creator and his access to leading sportspersons, his freshly minted "sports-tech" start-up RevSports will have six verticals, including exclusive sports content.

In addition to content creation, RevSports will have a Non-fungible Tokens (NFT) market store for sporting memorabilia, which is being done in collaboration with the Dubai based company Cricflixco-founded by Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and Anwar Hussein of the HBK Group and Ajay Sethi of the Channel 2 Group and Fanatic Sports founded by Raghav Gupta, the world’s first digital cricket museum, a foundation to help para-sport and para-athletes, Sports EdTech, Sports FinTech, and a Sports Technology Incubator.

For me, sport is always mainstream news," Boria told Connected to India. "You need something to push you, to break barriers. This was a logical progression that I try to take sport beyond the remit of television, which was falling short.

RevSportz is also being supported by Prantik Mazumdar, who will be the Strategic Advisor in this new venture. Huge sports fan himself, Prantik is a well-known digital marketer, entrepreneur, and venture investor based out of Singapore.
