Bollywood actor Rajiv “Chimpu” Kapoor dies at 58

Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor, best known for the movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili, has died at the age of 58. Affectionately known as “Chimpu”, Rajiv was the younger brother of Randhir and the late Rishi Kapoor. 

The news of his death was posted on social media by his sister-in-law Neetu Kapoor, wife of the late Rishi Kapoor. 

Rajiv Kapoor was also a producer, and director. He turned producer in 1991 with the film Henna and was also the producer for films like Prem Granth and Aa Ab Laut Chalen. 

He was the son of Bollywood legend Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor. Apart from Ram Teri Ganga Maili, other films to his credit as an actor include Aasmaan (1984), Lover Boy (1985), Zabardast (1985) and Hum To Chale Pardes (1988).
