5 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on October 14, including 2 locally transmitted infections

The Ministry of Health reported five new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on October 14. All new cases are imported or linked to known cases/ clusters.

This takes the national tally of confirmed cases to 57,889.

There are two new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, and both are contacts of previous cases. 

Additionally, there are three imported cases, one of which is a Singaporean who returned from the UK. Another is a Short-Term Visit Pass holder currently employed in Singapore who arrived from Russia. The remaining case is a Student’s Pass holder who arrived from India.

They had all been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.
