Sports personalities pay tribute to soldiers martyred in face-off with China

Sports personalities are paying their tributes to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in a recent face-off with China in Galwan Valley, Ladakh.

Saluting the martyrs, captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli said, no one is more selfless and brave than a soldier. 

Sachin Tendulkar in his tweet said that the entire nation is mourning its bravehearts and that they will live through the lives they have inspired with their heroic acts. 

Echoing the same sentiments, Rohit Sharma saluted the real heroes who laid down their lives protecting the motherland. 

Shuttler Saina Nehwal said she is proud and salutes the Indian Army. 

Wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Yogeshwar Dutt also paid their respects to the soldiers who lost their lives in the biggest India-China military face-off in close to 5 decades. The Indian Army confirmed that 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the clash with Chinese troops.
