Big B took to Twitter last night to share a picture of his hand with a ‘Home Quarantined’ stamp which reads, “T 3473 - Stamping started on hands with voter ink, in Mumbai .. keep safe, be cautious, remain isolated if detected..,"

Stamped on the left hand, for easy identification in case they mingle with the general public, this is a precautionary measure implemented by the Maharashtra government for all people undergoing 'home quarantine' due to the novel coronavirus.

Greater Mumbai's Municipal Commissioner Pravin Pardeshi issued an order to all officials at hospitals and the airport, to stamp those with suspected exposure to COVID-19, along with dates of isolation with ink that would last for 14 days.

The ink used is indelible electoral ink, a phosphoric semi-permanent or dye that is applied to the forefinger of voters during elections to prevent electoral fraud.

The superstar recently also tweeted a video of his rendition of a poem he penned to express his concerns regarding the coronavirus.

Earlier this week he also cancelled his weekly Sunday meeting with his fans at his residence ‘Jalsa’ telling them instead to take precautions and stay safe.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai municipal corporation on its Twitter handle thanked Bachchan Sr for "spreading the word" on home quarantine.
