“The wind beneath my wings” says Ranveer, posting picture of Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev in ‘83

The release of Kabir Khan’s film ‘83, about India’s 1983 World Cup win, is being highly anticipated. And while the lead of the movie, Ranveer Singh, who plays Kapil Dev, has been revealing his ‘teammates’ looks one by one, the actor and his real life wife Deepika Padukone revealed her look for her ‘small’ role in the film as his reel life spouse, Romi Dev.

"To be able to play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour,” wrote Deepika. “I've seen very closely the role a wife plays in the success of her husband's professional and personal aspirations in my mother and '83 for me in many ways is an ode to every woman who puts her husband's dream before her own."

Ranveer too posted the same picture, with the caption, "The wind beneath my wings. The heart of the hurricane."

Other than Ranveer and Deepika, '83 features Harrdy Sandhu (as Madal Lal), Tahir Raj Bhasin (as Sunil Gavaskar), Saqib Saleem (as Mohinder Amarnath), Ammy Virk (as Balwinder Sandhu), Jiiva (as Krishnamachari Srikkanth), Sahil Khattar (as Syed Kirmani), Chirag Patil (as Sandeep Patil), Adinath Kothare (as Dilip Vengsarkar), Dhairya Karwa (as Ravi Shastri), Dinker Sharma (as Kirti Azad), Jatin Sarna (as Yashpal Sharma), Nishant Dahiya (as Roger Binny), R Badree (as Sunil Valson) and Boman Irani (as Farokh Engineer).
