Which role did Nawazuddin Siddiqui find very difficult? Find out

Tremendous critical acclaim, global recognition and commercial success has not changed Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He remains a humble man, with insatiable hunger for challenging roles.

“I am an actor, I pay more attention to the character and not to the plot,” he told Connected to India from the sidelines of the Singapore International Film Festival. SGIFF bestowed him with the Lesley Ho Asian Film Talent Award for Sacred Games.

Having earned critical acclaim for films like Black Friday, Gangs of Wasseypur and The Lunchbox, Nawaz said that one of his most challenging roles till date was that of Ramanna, a serial killer in Raman Raghav 2.0. The role in fact landed him in hospital. “It was a very difficult role for me. Doing roles like this is mentally exhausting,” he said.
