In Pics: Yoga Day celebrations across Singapore

The past weekend saw dozens of yoga sessions being held across Singapore in celebration of the International Day of Yoga, also known as "Yoga Day". 

While the occasion was marked by events across the globe, what is unique about Singapore's celebrations is the way yoga is being brought to the heartlands, to the migrant workers and the less fortunate. 

Mr Jawed Ashraf, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, attended multiple sessions over the weekend to spread the word about the benefits of yoga. One of these sessions was held at the iconic Marina Barrage, which gave practitioners a grand view of the Singapore skyline as they moved through their sun salutations. 

At another session, held at West Coast Community Centre, Minister for Communications and Information Mr S Iswaran was the guest of honour, along with the Ambassadors of Switzerland and Nigeria.
