ICA says slow immigration clearance system not due to cyberattack

The immigration clearance system at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints experienced intermittent slowness since 5.40pm on Tuesday (May 16, 2017) evening.

The Immigrations and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said that the intermittent slowness was not due to a cyber attack.

In a Facebook post at around 8pm, it said: “As this coincides with the departure peak period, more resources have been deployed to manage the situation at the land checkpoints." 

ICA is still working on cause of delays, noting that "investigations are ongoing."
