68 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on August 20, with 2 imported cases from India

The Ministry of Health reported 68 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on August 20. This takes the national tally of infections to 56,099. 

The vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders currently under quarantine.

There are no cases in the community.

There are two imported cases, both of whom are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents who returned to Singapore from India on August 6 and 8. They had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN.
