The Singapore government has been very aggressive in pushing the Smart Nation agenda - numerous mobile apps have been released by the different agencies in the past few months, and they are all aimed at making your life easier.
From paying your utilities bill to borrowing books from the public libraries, all you need is a smartphone and the mobile app! Here are the things that you can now do with a tap of your finger:
SGSecure app, developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, allows you to receive important alerts during major emergencies. It is a national movement to sensitise, train and mobilise Singaporeans to play a part to prevent and deal with a terrorist attack.
It also enables you to seek assistance and provide information to the authorities.
With SP Utilities, you can now view and pay your bills with the app! It's that convenient. Besides that, manage your account well as subscribe to new services all in this app itself.
This app also supports fingerprint login, bringing you fast and convenient access to your utilities account on the go.
This mobile app by National Library Board allows you to borrow books with a tap! What's more, you can even scan the barcodes to borrow physical books instantly.
This is your one-stop transport portal - besides searching for nearby bus stops and taxi stands, the app also provides real-time island wide bus arrival information. Receive information on real-time parking lot availability, traffic news and expressway live traffic cams as well!
What's more, you can even personalise your home page by choosing the service that is most useful and relevant to your needs.
Traveling overseas? Remember to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before your trip.
MFA@SG also allows you to locate Singapore oversea missions, check travel notices and look up consular information and visa requirements.
