With ICC approval for the tournament, the standards are set to be higher than ever and the SCC team has been hitting the nets regularly to raise their game.

The club and the players are also looking forward to their two marquee players, legendary Muttiah Muralitharan, rated as the greatest Test match bowler ever by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack and Australian opening batsman Ed Cowan. The two international stars will be joining the host team for the three-day tournament to be played on August 11-13. Muralitharan, rated as the greatest Test match bowler ever by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack and Australian opening batsman Ed Cowan.
