1. Agathi by Apsaras Arts
A new dance-theatre production by Apsaras Arts brings – an exploratory form surrounding the plight of refugees all over the world. While exploring the contemporary issues through poetry, music and Bharatnatyam. Agathi sculptures an intimate portrait of the lives and struggles of refugees, along with stigma attached to it.

2. Ekatva
Ekatva describes the concepts of oneness and unity that are fundamental to driving the music of this four-piece band. Drawing from the Sanskrit literature, this music is an amalgamation of different styles of music that embraces the rich cultures of the East and West. With Somasundaram Shivanesh on mridangam, Ghanjira and Anand Krishna on guitar, Swetha Baskaran on sitar, and Lalit Kumar Ganesh on tabla and cajon, Ekatva strives to promote the concepts of oneness and unity through its musical narrative.

3. Groove Factory
Groove Factory juggles elements of funk, jazz fusion and a hint of Indian classical music. Fuelled by a mutual interest, it started with just two very close friends, Kumar (keyboardist) and Joash (drummer), music as a topic of conversation, and one idea. The band started in 2016, after attaining third place in a local band competition called Dhoom Super Band, and also features Nilesh, (bassist) and Isuru (guitarist).

4. Singapore Contemporary Art Show
The second edition of the Singapore Contemporary returns with more than 90 galleries and artists from the region and beyond. Artist dialogue sessions and Gallery Projects sections are spread across 6,000 square metres. Do not forget to drop by ‘Photo 17’ for a curated platform of the documentary, conceptual photography and fine art from the world over.

5. St Jerome’s Laneway Festival Singapore 2017
The popular Australian festival St Jerome's Laneway Festival comes back for its seventh year. It’s going to be worth spending a day of Pitchfork-endorsed indie rock, spread across four stages. Performances include British indie pop outfit Glass Animals, the youthful electropop Norwegian songstress AURORA, ambient music project Tycho and Australian acts Nick Murphy (aka Chet Faker) and Gang of Youths.
