Five things to do over the weekend of Aug 12-13

This weekend offers a myriad of activities for you to choose from. If you fancy joining in the excitement that's happening at the Singapore Cricket Club, head down for the 5th installation of the SCC International Twenty20 tournament! 

Just nearby, the National Gallery is hosting the Civic District Outdoor Festival with giant illuminated rabbits for your Instagram creativity. 1. SCC International Twenty20 2017

For the first time ever, the International SCC T20 tournament has been officially sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and also approved by the Singapore Cricket Association (SCA).

Two international cricket stars, the legendary Muttiah Muralitharan – rated as the greatest Test match bowler ever by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack – and Australian opening batsman Ed Cowan, will be joining the host team for the three-day tournament.

2. Civic District Outdoor Festival

This outdoor extravaganza extends the art experience beyond the Gallery’s walls and into the Civic District. Discover eye-catching light installations, theatre performances and pop-up stalls. Don't miss an opportunity to picnic with giant illuminated bunnies!

3. Fiesta Balik Kampong

This fiesta is bringing back the concept of “balik kampung” right here at Tanjong Katong Complex, to reminisce the glory days back then.

4. Without Sight – Performance & Dark Room Experience

5. Army Daze 2

This production is a sequel to one of Singapore' best-loved comedy Army Daze. It catches up with Malcolm Png three decades later: the mummy’s boy is now an SAF regular, serving as Director of Public Affairs. When his son Justin enters national service, it brings back vivid memories of his own experience.
