Baby elephant killed by a car on Malaysian highway

A baby elephant was killed by a car on a highway in Malaysia on Sunday, June 18, according to a Facebook post by wildlife conservation group Management & Ecology of Malaysian Elephants (MEME).

MEME urged drivers to be more careful when there are wildlife crossing.

"Be mindful of our forest friends. Let's not cause them any more harm. They have already lost so much when we took their forest to build roads on," said Alicia Solana Mena of MEME.
